Dora Chrysikou: 'From the beginning, I called cancer by its name'

To mark World Cancer Day, actress Dora Chrysikou gave an interview on the #ToHoume show on #SKAI, where she discussed her battle with ovarian cancer.

Dora Chrysikou emphasized that from the beginning, she chose to refer to her illness by its name, avoiding euphemisms. 'I said the word cancer from the beginning. I never called it a dreaded disease, I never called it a bad disease. I called it by its name,' she stated.

The actress explained that directly referring to the disease helped her realize and deal with the situation, as well as reduce the stigma associated with cancer. She also stressed the importance of knowledge and discipline during treatment, describing herself as an 'ideal patient'.
