Mayor of Agios Efstratios in Athens for Cancer Treatment

The mayor of Agios Efstratios, Konstantinos Sinanis, is in Athens for treatment after being diagnosed with cancer. As he stated on Alpha TV, the diagnosis made it necessary for him to move to Athens for specialized examinations and treatment.

Mr. Sinanis mentioned that he had been experiencing leg pain for a long time, which he initially ignored. A colleague persuaded him to get an MRI, where the problem was identified.

The mayor admitted that he was not consistent with preventive check-ups and urged citizens not to neglect their health. He also expressed his emotion for the support he received from the public after disclosing his condition.

Mr. Sinanis stated that this experience has changed the way he views life, and he will now face it with more courage and realism.
