Big 4: Why the Most Venomous Snakes Are Spreading

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the four most venomous snakes are responsible for 90% of deaths from snake bites worldwide. Approximately 4.5-5.4 million snake bites are recorded annually, resulting in 81,000-138,000 deaths.
Most cases occur in Asia, due to a lack of antivenom and healthcare infrastructure. India has the highest percentage of deaths, with 58,000-60,000 annually.
Prevention and treatment measures are needed to address the problem.
