Simple Diet Change for Longevity

A longevity researcher, Dan Buettner, suggests a simple lifestyle change to live longer and healthier: cook at home as often as possible.
According to Mr. Buettner, food ordered from outside contributes to chronic health problems, as it contains extra sugar, salt, and fat. "We eat an extra 300 calories when we order out," he stated.
Research shows that cooking at home reduces the risk of serious conditions such as type 2 diabetes. Those who eat homemade meals consume higher quality food, eat fewer calories, and spend less money.
Buettner also recommends eating meals with plant-based ingredients and adding beans to the daily diet, as they are the "true food of longevity".
