Ministry of Sports: Free Preparation for National Teams at National Sports Centers

The Ministry of Sports announced that national teams of all sports and ages will prepare for free at the country's National Sports Centers (EAK). This initiative, supported by additional funding of €2.1 million, aims to strengthen amateur sports.
The decision resulted from the collaboration of the Alternate Minister of Education, Religions and Sports, Giannis Vroutsis, with the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, and the Deputy Minister, Thanos Petralias.
The additional funding will be distributed to the EAK, relieving sports federations of training expenses. Mr. Vroutsis stated that the government is working to facilitate the sports community, emphasizing that national teams will train at facilities such as OAKA, Paiania, and Kaftanzoglio free of charge.
At a meeting at the Ministry of Sports, Mr. Vroutsis informed the administrations of the EAK and representatives of various sports federations about the new initiative.
