Vroutsis: €80 Million from Betting for Greek Sports

Deputy Minister of Sports, Giannis Vroutsis, announced a 21.21% increase in funding for Greek sports, reaching €80 million for 2026. The funding comes from the taxation of betting players' profits.

The National Sports Centers (EAK) will be available free of charge for the training of all national teams. Mr. Vroutsis also mentioned the successful implementation of the digital ticket and the implementation of 350 sports projects throughout Greece.

Mr. Vroutsis emphasized that Greece has been transformed into a "real sports construction site."
