Tentoglou Withdraws After 8.12m Jump at Greek Championships

Miltiadis Tentoglou concluded his participation in the Stoiximan Greek Athletics Championships in Volos after just two attempts.
The Olympic champion started with a foul jump, followed by a valid jump of 8.12 meters, a performance likely to secure him first place. He decided not to continue in the competition, waving goodbye to the crowd.
Earlier, Emmanouil Karalis set the best-ever performance by a Greek athlete, with 6.08m in the pole vault.
To surpass Karalis, Tentoglou needs a jump of 8.69m, or lower with favorable wind conditions.
