Spanoulis: "We shot terribly, you can't win with 65 points"

Vasilis Spanoulis expressed his disappointment after Greece's 67-65 defeat to Montenegro in Ano Liosia, in the qualifying group for the 2027 World Cup.

In his post-match statements, Spanoulis emphasized: "I don't believe in luck. We shot terribly, we were hasty. We have players out of rhythm. We tried in defense. Our percentages in attack were terrible. You can't win with such percentages. We conceded 67 points, but in modern basketball, you can't win with 65 points. We need to be more patient and make better decisions."

Spanoulis expressed hope that the team will be improved in Monday's away game against Montenegro.
