Panathinaikos lost 2-0 to Rangers at Ibrox, in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

Rangers opened the scoring in the 52nd minute, while in the 58th minute, Vagiannidis was sent off with a second yellow card. In the 78th minute, Gassama scored the second goal for Rangers, making the final score 2-0.
