Nikos Zisis, general manager of the Greek National Team and Aris Betsson, spoke to Euro Insiders powered by Betsson about the successful run of the National Basketball Team in 2005.

He referred to teamwork and the absence of ego as key factors in winning EuroBasket 2005. 'It was the real definition of a team. There were no egos,' he stressed, adding that even players who were just starting their careers at the time, such as Spanoulis, Diamantidis, and Papaloukas, had a significant impact on the team.

Zisis highlighted the depth of the team, citing Chatzivrettas, the top scorer in the Greek league in 2002, who was the fifth guard in the rotation. He also mentioned the recent successes of the national team and stories with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kostas Papanikolaou from winning the bronze medal.

'Imagine that I was the top scorer of this team. And everyone knows I wasn't a scorer. But that was the teamwork we had, and that's why we won consistently for five years,' he said.
