Alexandra Asimaki, a member of the "golden" national women's water polo team of 2011, expressed her optimism for the World Championship final. In statements on the website of the Hellenic Swimming Federation, she emphasized that the odds are in favor of the Greek team.

"In my mind, the odds for the gold are with our team. To get there, they eliminated two very great teams, which traditionally don't suit us," Asimaki stated.

She also referred to the team's journey to the 2011 final, highlighting the difficulties they faced. She also expressed her faith in coach Haris Pavlidis and the team's ability to meet the demands of the final.

"In a World Championship final, it matters which team is more prepared psychologically and, of course, athletically," Asimaki noted, adding that the Greek team seemed very well prepared.

Asimaki wished the national team good luck, emphasizing that they should enjoy the final and fight for the gold medal.
