Pensioners Protest in Syntagma Square: March to Maximos Mansion

Pensioners are protesting today in Syntagma Square, planning to march to the Maximos Mansion. The mobilization has caused traffic disruptions in the center of Athens.

Pensioners' organizations IKA-OAEE-Public Sector-POSE ODEE-ELTA-OSE-NAT are calling for a nationwide mobilization, demanding pension increases, the payment of the 13th and 14th pensions, public nursing homes, and the hiring of nursing and medical staff.

Due to the protest, the center of Athens is closed, and traffic delays are observed on surrounding roads, such as Ardittou and Kallirois. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
