Lena Samara: Funeral Today for Antonis Samaras' Daughter

The funeral of Lena Samara, the 34-year-old daughter of former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, will be held today at 13:00 at the First Cemetery of Athens. The family has requested that donations be made to charitable organizations instead of wreaths.

Lena Samara, born in May 1990 in Pylos, was a graduate of Athens College and a civil engineer from Saint George's City College in London. She passed away on August 7, 2025, following an epileptic seizure and cardiac arrest.

The Samaras family has indicated three organizations for donations: the VASILIS PAPANTONIOU FOUNDATION (IBP), the WOMEN'S COMMUNITY HOLY MONASTERY OF AG. ILARIONOS PROMACHON ARIDAIAS, and the ASYLUM OF INCURABLES OF THE HOLY METROPOLIS OF MESSINIA "OR THE SHELTER OF THE CHURCH".
