Lena Samara: Tragic Hours and Death

Lena Samara, 34, daughter of former Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, passed away at Evangelismos Hospital. She had initially visited Sismanoglio Hospital with symptoms of discomfort and dizziness.
At Sismanoglio, she underwent tests and a CT scan, with no alarming findings. Due to persistent dizziness, she was referred to Evangelismos Hospital.
According to reports, she experienced epileptic seizures at Evangelismos and was intubated. She developed cardiac asystole, and resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis stated that Lena Samara was thoroughly examined at Sismanoglio, where a neurologist also examined her. Due to the lack of a neurological clinic at Sismanoglio, she was referred to Evangelismos.
Lena Samara was a civil engineer, a graduate of Athens College and City University of London.
