Georgia Kritikou: Antonis Samaras' Wife in Mourning

The family of Antonis Samaras is grieving the loss of his 34-year-old daughter, Lena, after a sudden epileptic episode. His wife, Georgia Kritikou, stands by his side.

Georgia Kritikou met Antonis Samaras in 1989 at a political gathering in Nea Erythraia. They married in Pylos in May 1990, with Dimitris Zannas as their best man. Their wedding had over 10,000 guests, including then-Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis.

Georgia Kritikou, a civil engineer, prefers to stay out of the public eye. She has stated that she does not wish to give interviews. Antonis Samaras has referred to his wife as his sole support during difficult political times.
