Lena Samara, Daughter of Antonis Samaras, Passes Away at 34

Former Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras is in mourning after the sudden passing of his 34-year-old daughter, Lena Samara, on Thursday evening (07.08.2025).

Lena Samara, the eldest daughter of Antonis Samaras and his wife Georgia, passed away at «Evangelismos» Hospital following an epileptic episode and cardiac arrest. She was the great-great-granddaughter of Penelope Delta and granddaughter of cardiologist Konstantinos Samaras.

According to reports, Lena Samara was initially taken to Sismanoglio Hospital and then transferred to Evangelismos, where she suffered a cardiac arrest. Her parents were by her side.

Lena Samara graduated from Athens College (2008) and was a civil engineer from City University of London. She avoided public appearances but supported her father. She enjoyed tennis and participated in a program of the Greek Embassy in Beijing.

In addition to Lena, Antonis and Georgia Samaras also have a son, 28-year-old Kostas.
