Actor Christos Valavanidis passed away at the age of 82, causing sadness in the artistic community. The news was announced by Eleni Gerasimidou and Antonis Xenos via social media.

In a phone call with the show "Proino", Christos Valavanidis spoke about his health condition, stating: "I had something that will pass, I am in treatment. It is not tragic, but it is a serious illness that I must take care of. It is serious, but it is not fatal, at least not yet."

He also mentioned his hospitalization at Laiko Hospital, where he underwent treatment. Christos Valavanidis's last public appearance with his wife, Aspasia Kralli, was a year before his death.
