Jamie Lee Curtis spoke to The Guardian about her resistance to plastic surgery and the ageism problem in Hollywood. At 66, she states that she feels free and no longer cares about the opinions of others.

The actress referred to a plastic surgery she had at 25, which she regrets. Since then, she has avoided surgical procedures and let her hair go gray.

Curtis, daughter of Hollywood legends Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, stated that she has become abrupt with people who demand time from her when she is not available for work.

She also referred to her successful career, with films such as Halloween, A Fish Called Wanda, Trading Places, True Lies, and Knives Out, as well as her Oscar win for the film 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'.

Curtis spoke about her refusal to live according to Hollywood's timelines, as she saw her parents lose their fame and livelihood when the industry rejected them due to age. She has been preparing for her 'self-retirement' for 30 years.

Finally, she referred to the distortion of women by the 'industrial cosmetic complex' and the deformation caused by chemicals, surgeries, and fillers.

The film Freakier Friday, in which she participates, will be released on August 8 in the United Kingdom and the USA.
