Actress Eleni Karpeta Passes Away

Actress Eleni Karpeta has passed away at the age of 87. Eleni Karpeta was an associate of the National Theatre of Northern Greece (KTHBE) and the wife of Nikos Xanthopoulos.

She was born in 1937 in Chiliadou, Fthiotida, and was a graduate of the National Theatre School. In 1971, she founded the Stoa Theatre with Thanasis Papageorgiou.

The KTHBE bid farewell to the actress with an announcement, expressing its condolences to her family. It is noted that Eleni Karpeta collaborated with the KTHBE in 30 performances from 1965 to 1999.
