Dimitris Starovas has fallen victim to an online scam, as fraudsters used a deepfake video featuring his face and voice to promote weight loss products.

The artist, through a post on Instagram, warned the public about the scam, emphasizing that the video was created with artificial intelligence and falsely shows him claiming to have lost weight by drinking specific coffees.

Starovas clarified that he has no connection with the material and called on his online friends to be especially careful.
