Mazonakis: Lawsuit and Claims from Businessman

A new twist in the Giorgos Mazonakis case, with the nightclub businessman responding to the blackmail accusations with a lawsuit. According to newsit.gr, the businessman is asking Giorgos Mazonakis to retract the "false, defamatory and libelous" references against him and the club's co-owners. He also demands the return of owed amounts.

In the lawsuit, sent on Thursday (12/18/25), the businessman refers to agreements that were not kept by the singer during last season. He claims that Giorgos Mazonakis was paid for 10 appearances, but did not make them all. In addition, he states that while there was an agreement for the winter season 2025-2026, Giorgos Mazonakis eventually collaborated with other nightclubs.

The businessman also mentions that they provided Giorgos Mazonakis with 24-hour security, a housekeeper, and covered personal expenses, such as hotel accommodation and jewelry purchases, in anticipation of their collaboration. During the singer's ordeal at Dromokaitio, they offered moral, psychological and legal support.

The businessman accuses Giorgos Mazonakis of ingratitude and mentions that lawyer Giorgos Merkoulidis resigned from his defense in protest. He demands the immediate withdrawal of the references and the return of the amounts owed.
