Marinella: When she sang for Aris and her relationship with PAOK

Marinella, one of the most important voices in Greek song, linked her name with the Aris basketball team and the PAOK football team.

In the 80s, Marinella was particularly associated with the Aris basketball team, watching the games at the Palais de Sport in Thessaloniki. After the games, the 'celebration' followed at the 'Akroama' nightclub, where Marinella sang the famous slogan 'With Galis, Giannakis, Filippou and the other kids', which became the unofficial anthem of the team.

The slogan is an adaptation of the song 'With my mouth full of kisses' by Leonidas Vellis. Vellis, in an interview, mentioned that Marinella is a PAOK fan and was simply associated with the Aris team.

Marinella herself had stated that she loves basketball and football, supporting Aris in basketball and PAOK in football. In fact, she was a guest at the PAOK celebration when the team won the championship in 1976.
