Maria Karra: First Appearance in Greece for Interrogation

Maria Karra, the wife of Giorgos Trangas, arrived in Greece from Monaco to be interrogated regarding money laundering charges. The #SuperKaterina show's camera recorded her arrival at the Evelpidon courts.
According to reports, Maria Karra faces charges of tax evasion and fraud against the Greek State. She was released on bail of 50,000 euros in the summer of 2023 for concealing assets. Her lawyer, Theodoros Mantas, stated that he requested a postponement to respond to the charges.
Authorities are investigating Giorgos Trangas' assets, which amount to 30 million euros in movable and immovable property. The assets include properties in Greece (Athens, Mykonos, Corfu) and abroad (Monaco, Paris, Nice, Miami, New York, Las Vegas). The tax owed to the state is 10 million euros. Giorgos Trangas' son, Giannis, wants to pay the tax, while Maria Karra disagrees.
Giannis Trangas' lawyer, Nikos Agapinos, stated that his client has given a full statement as a prosecution witness, wishing for the complete payment of the state's claims.
