One year has passed since the death of Mimis Plessas, with Loukila Karrer speaking about the loss of her husband. The great composer passed away a few days before his 100th birthday.

The news of his death became known on October 5, 2024, although Loukila Karrer stated that Mimis Plessas died on October 4. She faced the loss with strength, accepting death as part of life.

"I handled his loss as every person should handle it. We are born alone, we leave alone. With much strength and patience, but this is the new reality," said Loukila Karrer.

At another point, Loukila Karrer commented on how she reacts when she hears her husband's favorite songs: "Many times I say to him 'Bravo Mimis, this is an immortal song'".
