Christian Bale has called the decision to remake 'American Psycho,' directed by Luca Guadagnino, a 'bold' one. The Oscar-winning actor commented on the news at the premiere of his film 'The Bride!'.

When asked about who he would like to see take on the role of Patrick Bateman, Bale told The Hollywood Reporter that he doesn't have a specific actor in mind. 'Whoever wants to give it a try, go for it,' he said, adding that he has 'fantastic memories' of his experience with director Mary Harron.

Guadagnino presented his 'American Psycho' adaptation by Scott Burns at CinemaCon last spring, stating that he is working hard on a new adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis book.

In a previous interview, Bale had mentioned his involvement in the film and the initial confusion it caused in his wife's family. In his latest role in 'The Bride!', Bale plays Frankenstein's monster. Additionally, he will co-star with Leonardo DiCaprio in the sequel to 'Heat'.

Bale confirmed his participation in 'Heat 2' in an interview, saying that he will soon return to Chicago for the needs of the film.
