Katerina Vrana: Important that I am disabled for Eurovision

Stand-up comedian Katerina Vrana spoke about presenting the Greek final of Eurovision, emphasizing the importance of her participation as a person with a disability. As she stated, the proposal was made by Giorgos Kapoutzidis.

In an interview on the show Buongiorno, Vrana mentioned that it is important that ERT is taking this step, showing that she can do what everyone else can. She also explained the structure of the three shows, where she will collaborate with Giorgos Kapoutzidis and Betty Maggira.

Vrana stated: «Giorgos Kapoutzidis sent me a message, called me and said 'would you like to...'. And my answer was 'of course, don't even think about it'». She added that she considers it very important that she is disabled and is happy that she can do things that everyone else can.

Regarding the preparation of the semi-finals and the final, Vrana mentioned that they are in discussions about when the rehearsals will take place, due to the many obligations of all those involved. She also mentioned that there is an idea of how the roles will be divided in the three shows.
