Elena Topalidou Co-starred with Nicolas Cage in New Film

Actress and dancer Elena Topalidou starred in the film 'The Carpenter's Son', alongside Nicolas Cage. In the film, which is an alternative version of the story of Jesus, Cage plays Joseph, while Topalidou plays Satan.

In a television interview on Breakfast@Star, Elena Topalidou said she found it hard to believe she would be working with the Oscar-winning actor until they were on set.

'The shooting took place in the summer. Nicolas Cage is in it. And I had a very hard time understanding that Nicolas Cage was actually in it, until I met him and even then I didn't believe it. He is very likeable. He is very charming. He is who we know,' she said.

Topalidou added that at their first meeting, Cage gave her encouraging signals, but she initially thought it was someone else. 'I played Satan in the film and he played Joseph. It's the story of Jesus in a different way. And in fact, the first time we did something together, he signaled to me from afar that 'you're doing great' and stuff. And I thought it wasn't him. That it was another one, a double. I auditioned to get the role in the film,' she added.
