Giorgos Karavas spoke about the beginning of his relationship with Rafaela Psarrou, revealing that his wife was initially reserved. As he said on the show "Noris Noris", Rafaela Psarrou did not feel safe at the beginning of their acquaintance, for personal reasons.

Giorgos Karavas stated characteristically: "We met while I was at a good level in the modeling industry. She brought me good energy. At first, she didn't want me, maybe there was a little fear. There is something underlying, maybe your conscience, lack of seriousness, many factors. But then she wanted me."

The couple got married in November 2012 and have two children, Philippos and Kalliopi.
