Giorgos Alkaios spoke about his personal battle with depression, revealing that he took pills for two weeks, but stopped them. "I took pills for depression for a very short time, that is, two weeks, and because they drove me crazy, because I have internal madness, I said I should leave them and make depression 'my friend'," he said characteristically.

When asked about the duration of the depression, he replied: "I am 53 to 54, I think 53 years. I think we all have some kind of depression. Man is born with depression. We have all been raised in depression."

He also stated: "I have stated that I do not want to have children. Should I bring them here? Why? What did the children do to me? What should they do? Should we run after them to the police stations at 12? I can't get into that situation. Everyone on the planet is crazy, let's not make it crazier. I decided from a young age not to have children. For me, either you have a child and your life ends - for me personally..."
