Elder Nektarios on Angeliki Iliadi: "She had nowhere to turn after her partner's death"

Elder Nektarios Moulatsiotis spoke about the period after the murder of Babis Lazaridis and the psychological state of Angeliki Iliadi.

In statements on the show "Buongiorno", Elder Nektarios stated that Angeliki Iliadi, after the death of her partner and her injury, felt that "she had nowhere to turn" and was in an "unusual spiritual state."

As he said, the singer spent days in the monastery and gradually managed to get back on her feet. Elder Nektarios stressed that he cannot reveal anything from what Angeliki Iliadi had confessed to him.

Angeliki Iliadi, in an interview, had referred to the help she received from Elder Nektarios, who was recommended to her by Peggy Zina, after the murder of Babis Lazaridis. She stated that thanks to him she was "saved" and came out of the darkness.

Elder Nektarios confirmed that Angeliki Iliadi visited the monastery and discussed with him and the monks, which helped her overcome the shock without a psychologist or psychiatrist.
