Emma Thompson: Donald Trump Asked Me Out on a Date

Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson revealed that Donald Trump once asked her out on a date. The incident occurred while she was in a trailer, as she mentioned at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.

According to Thompson, Trump called her and suggested she stay at one of his hotels and have dinner with him. The actress found the incident amusing, as it happened on the day her divorce was finalized.

Thompson also referred to political satire, saying she used to joke about Margaret Thatcher and herpes in her early days as a comedian.
