Elena Asimakopoulou: 'Bruno Cirillo had depression'

Elena Asimakopoulou, in an interview with Daphne Karavokyri on the show “LEGIT”, spoke about the period when her ex-husband, Bruno Cirillo, was facing depression. The actress expressed her emotion and guilt about how she handled the situation.

'I love Bruno even now,' said Elena Asimakopoulou, referring to the love she has for the father of her daughter. She also described the difficulties Bruno Cirillo faced in the world of football and after his retirement from active duty.

The actress referred to the period when Bruno Cirillo suffered from depression, emphasizing that she did not understand what he was going through. 'I have terrible guilt. I could have stood differently,' she said characteristically, explaining that she was trying to help him in the wrong way. Elena Asimakopoulou and Bruno Cirillo met in 2007, got married and had a daughter, while in 2022 they announced their separation.
