Dimitris Samolis: 'It was bitter that my father accepted me when the public accepted me'

Dimitris Samolis, a guest on the show 'To Proino,' spoke about his transition from law to acting and his father's acceptance of him as an actor.

'I was born in Aigaleo and my origin is from Anogeia. Within a week, I found myself acting with Aliki Vougiouklaki in the theater. My dad found out when I was cast in 'The Sound of Music,' and he wasn't happy at all,' he said.

Samolis confessed: 'My father started to accept it during 'Agries Melisses,' but for me, it was more bitter that he accepted me when the general public accepted me. Acceptance should come before, not after.'

He also added that he feels awkward when performing in front of his own people.
