On August 5, 1962, Marilyn Monroe was found dead at her home in Los Angeles, at the age of 36. Her death was attributed to a probable suicide from an overdose of barbiturates.
On the night of August 4, Eunice Murray, Monroe's housekeeper, became concerned and notified psychiatrist Ralph Greenson, who found the actress dead. The forensic report by Thomas Noguchi confirmed lethal levels of pentobarbital and chloral hydrate.
Monroe's psychological state was burdened, as she faced mental health issues, anxiety attacks, and insomnia. Despite the official version, various conspiracy theories have developed around her death.
