Application Submission for 10,000 Teacher Appointments Begins

Starting today, August 13th, and lasting until August 18th, the application submission process for the appointment of 10,000 teachers begins.

Applications are submitted electronically through the Integrated Information System for the Management of Primary and Secondary Education Personnel (Ο.Π.ΣΥ.Δ.).

According to the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, with the addition of these appointments, the total number of new appointments to cover organizational gaps in the five-year period 2020-2025 amounts to 48,653.

The Minister of Education, Sofia Zacharaki, stated that the appointments are a decisive step in supporting public schools and creating a stable core of teachers throughout Greece.

The Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, emphasized that this is the first time the country has proceeded with such a large number of appointments for two consecutive years.

The Minister of Interior, Thodoris Livanios, stated that supporting public education is a key priority of the government.
