The trial of the wiretapping case is back in the spotlight, scheduled for September 24 at the Athens Misdemeanor Court. The case involves four private entrepreneurs accused of misdemeanor offenses.

The trial is highly anticipated, as it will be the first time that all aspects of the case will be judged in court, with testimonies from dozens of witnesses. The case touches on the core of the rule of law and is linked to democracy and the protection of the privacy of communications.

PASOK President Nikos Androulakis, former minister Christos Spirtzis, and journalist Thanasis Koukakis, victims of the wiretapping, will attend the trial. The list of witnesses includes politicians, journalists, and the former president of ADAE, Christos Rammos.

The trial was initially postponed due to the need to translate documents from English, at the request of the defendants' defense.
