Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis assured that Greece will not take part in the war. In interviews with Ant1 and ERT, he stressed that the government is present to support vulnerable citizens.

Mr. Hatzidakis stated that Greece has shown a decisive stance of support towards Cyprus, with the dispatch of two frigates and four fighter jets. At the same time, the country is participating in the "Aspides" operation in the Red Sea.

Regarding measures to support citizens, the Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that the government will be present, taking into account the actual data. Interventions are moving on three levels: ensuring the sufficiency of goods, combating profiteering, and supporting citizens affected by the crisis.

Regarding tourism, Mr. Hatzidakis mentioned that bookings have not been significantly affected and that the year seems to be good. He recalled the record number of arrivals in 2025 with 38 million tourists.

Finally, he referred to measures to support the energy-intensive industry, stressing that the government wants to support businesses and their competitiveness.
