Varras: Voridis Asked Me to Resign
Share on:

Grigoris Varras responded to Makis Voridis regarding the OPEKEPE case, stating that Mr. Voridis asked him to resign.

According to Mr. Varras, "nothing from the mentioned dialogue was said. Absolutely nothing." He claims that Makis Voridis called him to his office and asked for his resignation, under the pretext that the publicity for the technical advisor was not positive.

Mr. Varras also stated that his removal from the position of President of OPEKEPE had been planned since July 2020, when he sent the draft announcement for the technical advisor to Mr. Voridis' office.

Furthermore, he stated that the audits had started in August 2020 and that on the day he was asked to resign, he had already sent three cases to justice.
