«Sto Chiliosto»: Revelations about the 2015 negotiations

The first episode of SKAI's documentary, "Sto Chiliosto" (At the Last Minute), reveals unknown aspects of the 2015 negotiations. Eleni Varvitsioti and Victoria Dendrinou curated the documentary.

The documentary reveals the existence of two parallel levels of negotiation. A phone call from Alexis Tsipras to Mario Draghi, mediated by Yannis Stournaras, was captured for the first time. Peter Schoof, then German Ambassador to Greece, revealed a secret meeting with Alexis Tsipras in Koumoundourou.

Former Ministers and executives such as Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, Nikos Pappas, Euclid Tsakalotos, Panagiotis Lafazanis and Giorgos Stathakis are featured in the documentary. Panos Kammenos, former government partner of SYRIZA, also participates.

Klaus Regling mentions that Greece "lived beyond its means for 10-15 years". Evangelos Venizelos criticized the first memorandum.

Alexis Tsipras, Yanis Varoufakis and Paul Thomsen declined to comment on the events.
