King Felipe Attends Princess Irene's Funeral in Athens

King Felipe VI of Spain, along with his wife Letizia and their daughters, will attend the funeral of Princess Irene in Athens. The funeral service will be held at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens.

Members of European royal families, including those from Denmark, are also expected. The British royal family will be represented by Sir Timothy Laurence and Lady Gabriella Kingston.

Former King Juan Carlos of Spain will not be attending due to health issues. Princess Irene passed away at the age of 83 in Madrid and will be buried in Tatoi.

The princess's body will be displayed for veneration at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Andrew and Demetrius in Madrid.
