The report of the inquiry committee on OPEKEPE is being discussed in Parliament today. The report includes the views of the opposition parties, with a common denominator being the existence of political responsibilities of the government.

The inquiry committee met 49 times, examined 76 witnesses and produced 19,000 pages of minutes. The rapporteur of the majority, M. Lazaridis, stressed that no criminal responsibilities arise for Mr. Voridis and Avgenakis and that the problem with agricultural compensation is timeless.

M. Apostolaki from the official opposition stated that the investigation turned into a "responsibility laundering". N. Karathanasopoulos of the KKE argued that the government sought to cover up. SYRIZA and New Left proposed the establishment of a pre-investigation committee for Mr. Voridis and Avgenakis. Z. Konstantopoulou proposed the continuation of the committee's work and a full investigation.

The discussion is conducted with the procedure of generalizing the discussion on the questions.
