Air Force Officer Suspended for Espionage on Behalf of China

A 54-year-old Air Force officer has been suspended and faces felony charges for espionage, accused of collecting information for China. The case was revealed following an investigation by the EYP (National Intelligence Service) in collaboration with foreign intelligence agencies.
The officer, who specialized in Telecommunications – Electronics (T/H), allegedly channeled sensitive national security information to Beijing for at least 18 months. According to reports, he was initially approached through an online application, followed by a trip to China.
The charges were filed under Article 144 of the Military Penal Code, concerning the "Transmission of military secrets." The accused faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years. Investigations are ongoing to determine if there were any accomplices.
