Eleftherios Venizelos, Last Grandson of Eleftherios Venizelos, Dies at 102

Eleftherios Venizelos, the last grandson of Eleftherios Venizelos, has passed away at the age of 102. He was a former Member of Parliament for Chania and honorary president of the National Foundation for Research and Studies “Eleftherios K. Venizelos.”

The Foundation issued a statement expressing its condolences. Eleftherios Venizelos was born in Athens in August 1924. He was the son of Kyriakos Venizelos and Marika Roussou.

He studied Political and Economic Sciences at Princeton and Columbia Universities. He was elected twice as a Member of Parliament for Chania, in 1952 and 1956. He was involved in the family's shipping business and served as president of the Club of Liberals.

He was named Grand Benefactor and Partner of the National Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” for his significant contribution.
