PASOK: New Trade Union Group in GSEE After Panagopoulos Case?

Executives of PASOK are suggesting the creation of a new trade union group in GSEE, in the wake of the Panagopoulos case. This proposal, although facing opposition, is expected to be discussed at the upcoming party conference.

Thodoros Margaritis, a member of the Political Council of PASOK/KINAL, supports the initiative, emphasizing that the revelations about Panagopoulos and his connection with Stratinakis "hurt" PASOK. He calls on the party to leave behind clientelistic systems and corruption.

Margaritis had also referred in the past to the trade union bureaucracy of PASOK in GSEE, raising the issue in the Political Council of the party.
