OPEKEPE: Prosecutor Proposes Guilt for All 7 Defendants

Prosecutor Kalliopi Dayanta has proposed a guilty verdict for all seven defendants in the first trial related to receiving agricultural subsidies from OPEKEPE. The defendants face charges of fraud against the EU.
Despite the return of the funds to OPEKEPE, the prosecutor requested that claims for the elimination of criminal liability be rejected.
The prosecutor also requested the transfer of documents to the European Public Prosecutor to investigate potential felony fraud against the EU by OPEKEPE employees. She also suggested investigating potential breach of trust and fraud for OPEKEPE executives and those who received subsidies in a dubious manner, as well as the crime of forgery in a specific will.
