Mitsotakis: Greece is becoming an international energy hub

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Rodopi, emphasizing the upgrading of Greece's geopolitical position and its transformation into an international energy hub. During a visit to DESFA's facilities in the Komotini Industrial Area, Mr. Mitsotakis referred to the significant investments being made and the country's effective energy diplomacy.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of Greece as the starting point of the Vertical Axis for the supply of natural gas to countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Slovakia, and Hungary. He also announced a 50% increase in the maximum limit of oil for which the Special Consumption Tax (EFK) is refunded to farmers.

In Maroneia, Mr. Mitsotakis spoke with citizens and referred to measures to strengthen the region, such as the reduction of ENFIA property tax. He also mentioned the utilization of Rodopi's tourism front with the creation of a marina.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Development Takis Theodorikakos, the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Thanasis Kontogeorgis, and other government officials.
