Kyriakos Mitsotakis: Speech to the New Democracy Parliamentary Group

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed the New Democracy (ND) Parliamentary Group in the Parliament, during the session for the election of a new secretary.

Maximos Charakopoulos was proposed for the position of secretary of the ND Parliamentary Group. Mr. Mitsotakis referred to the loss of Apostolos Vesyropoulos, emphasizing his example.

The Prime Minister presented the five axes of the government's political agenda: support for the middle class, tax cuts, measures to balance with fiscal guidelines, security measures and strengthening defense.

Regarding tax relief, Mr. Mitsotakis stressed that it concerns four million citizens and especially young people. He also referred to the abolition of ENFIA in 12,720 villages and the reduction of rents.

Mr. Mitsotakis defended the labor bill and referred to the creation of 500,000 jobs and the reduction of 83 taxes. He also referred to the renovation of schools and the establishment of non-state universities.

Finally, the Prime Minister referred to the 24-hour operation of the Metro and Chevron's interest in the sea blocks south of Crete.
