Kyriakos Mitsotakis: Investments for the Development of Western Greece

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced targeted public investments for the development of Western Greece, with emphasis on infrastructure, tourism, energy, and production.
During an interview, Mr. Mitsotakis emphasized that the government has focused on the prefectures of Achaia, Ilia, and Aetolia-Acarnania. He noted that the completion of the Patras-Pyrgos highway on November 30 will be a significant turning point for the region.
Furthermore, he announced the modernization of the Araksos airport and the sub-concession of the ports of Patras and Katakolo for the development of cruise tourism. In the fall, in Patras, he will announce 420 interventions included in the Local Development Plans.
The Prime Minister also referred to interventions to address the climate crisis and the effort to tackle high prices, announcing measures to be announced at the Thessaloniki International Fair (DETH).
