The Minister of Transport, Konstantinos Kyranakis, announced changes to the railway, including strict penalties and dismissals for serious violations at OSE. Speaking on ERT, the minister emphasized that the new company has the most flexible institutional framework in the public sector.

The installation of an automatic braking system on 100 trains has been completed. Training of train drivers will begin soon. Also, an accurate location system has been installed throughout the network.

From September 13th, the 24-hour operation of the metro begins every Saturday, with enhanced bus and tram routes. At the same time, new cameras will be installed on central axes to record violations.

Psychometric tests are planned for those holding security duties, in collaboration with GEETHA.
