Koutsoumbas: "Two drones targeted British bases in Cyprus, two in Souda"

The General Secretary of the KKE (Communist Party of Greece), Dimitris Koutsoumbas, reiterated that, according to his information, four drones directed from Iran were targeting British bases in Cyprus and Souda.

Specifically, Mr. Koutsoumbas claimed that two of the drones targeted the British base in Akrotiri, Cyprus, and the other two targeted Souda. The incident occurred on Monday morning, causing an alert at the Souda base.

He also mentioned that the government decided to transfer anti-aircraft systems to Karpathos. He estimated that, due to Iranian threats, American bases would become targets of retaliation in the event of a generalized conflict.
